Sunrise Park Resort

Sunrise Park Resort is Arizona’s Ultimate Mountain Adventure, offering Arizona’s only lift-served downhill mountain biking, the Sunrise Apache Alpine Coaster, Arizona’s longest tandem zip-line, a rock-climbing wall, scenic lift rides, lake fishing, camping, and more! In the winter, Sunrise is Arizona’s largest ski resort, offering skiing, snowboarding, ski bikes, and lessons for all ages. Sunrise Park Resort is located on and is owned and operated by the White Mountain Apache Tribe. The White Mountain Apache's land expands across a vast section of Eastern Arizona, starting at about 2,600’ above sea level on the southwest side and ranging all the way up to 11,400’ on the peak of Mt. Baldy on its northeast border. Sunrise Park Resort consists of 3 different peaks, with the tallest peak being Apache Peak, at an elevation of 11,100ft, and Sunrise Peak and Cyclone Circle following close behind, at 10,700ft. The White Mountain Apache Tribe is also known for its world class hunting and is one of the best places in the world to find Trophy Elk, drawing in hunters from all over the world.

While at the mountain bike park, enjoy lift-serviced downhill mountain biking for all levels and abilities. Sunrise has raw, steep, gnarly and technical terrain for those not too faint of heart along with blue and green trails to suit those riders with less experience or that are simply not as crazy. Sunrise is heavily dedicated to improving and expanding the park, 10 new trails were freshly built in the 2023 and 2024 seasons. This includes two new green trails for beginners to enjoy, a fun new intermediate trail, six new difficult trails, and an expert trail called Dirt Squirrel. The continued expansion of Sunrise, along with world-class mountain bike competitions like Big Mountain Enduro, have put Sunrise on the map as a must-visit MTB destination.
